This is the official talk about band topic...

Ok when it comes down to it, i hate practicing for band! seriously.. I hate it almost as much as homework... i wish the magic bandfairy would kill it!!! Although i do enjoy actually playing in band.. This constant "improving" and "learning" is just something i don't like...Although Bandcamp and bandpractices haven't started yet this year... that's how i feel.. I come to band to play.. not practice.. even though practice is the only way you'll get better and and be able to play in the first place... but i just hate practices for stuff.. Practicing by urself isn't too bad though

haha... i know of a million people that agree w/ u PJ.. but i am not one of them.. haha... i love doing anything band related... (i think its just b/c i love music too much)

i dont like practicing when the teacher *cough cough is mean and nasty everytime we get something wrong... i mean i realize he "demands perfection" but for goodness sakes were only going to be freshmen!!! and yah practicing is really annoying especially if there is a song i dont like.

Practicing band is annoying, i mean i could understand practicing for u is fun, td, but like pple with notes, such as myself, have to memorize theses fricking jacked up keys, its annoying after a while, especially when u get it wrong a hundred times.....i kind of spiral in a 5 minute depresion after practicing when something doesnt come out right..... Mad

I burn up just thinking about it, lol

WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (one of my biggest pet peeves!!!!!!!)

DRUMMING IS JUST AS HARD PLAYING ANY OTHER INSTRUMENT!!!!! idc wat u think.... its hard..... kk??? good... (Andrew and I are the only ppl that play drumset ((that i kno of)) on this forum) and not too many ppl can do that..................

i hate it when pple take offense to this tho. I'm just saying ,that for me it is harder. I would jsut rather play in the pit than memorize keys and rythms out on the field and also march, its difficult, and u play drums in ur freetime, not for marching band, u play tenors, or snare, or bass. Jiminy Cripes, i knew i shouldnt have said that, lol.

Don't forget about kendra td! she plays some drumset i think...
but ya ur right... People do think it's easy to play the drums... which it is! but to actually play something is hard... and the drumset? that's actually takes skill and practice to play.. But practicing the drumset is probably a ton "funner" than practicing a saxophone (or xylophone -.-)

its not like i am really mad.... it just makes me mad when ppl *coughcough* (behrman) says: "its easy for them tho... they hav their stuff already set..." and we dont.... there is a lot of things ppl dont kno about how to make a drum sound good and/or wat techniques are to be used in certain situations........ plus u dont hav to carry a 50 lbs instrument on ur shoulders and march around the field.... u hav a 10 lbs instrument... (at most)

omg omg omg serously i hate praticing for band!! its like the worst thing ever... i actually would rather do homework than pratice my stupid clarinet... (probably any instrument for that matter) idk y i hate it so much i just do...
has anyone actually been praticing over the summer??? j/w bc i havent and maybe i should but o well!! hehe
