wel i have been practicing cause i dont want to sound like totally bad when we go and play with the high schoolers but most of the time i dont practice at all during the year i think i might have taken my flute home maybe 5 times total and i am another person who hates band

i dont hate it! i like the songs(some), but pretty much most everything else....and yes,i do play drum set!!!!i do have to agree with nick alittle tho....i'v played piano and recorder(lol)(other than percussion) and i think it is harder...tho percussion is not just hitting stuff!!! and we have to tune stuff like the timpanii(sp) and even snare and toms and stuff, so its eiser and harder at the same time...and it is also really hard b/c some ppl have to learn to play four different notes at the same time!!!(four mallets)and thats hard....and if u dont learn proper technique u can totally ruin ur hands/arms/wrists...and if u practice alot u get calouses/blisters.

band really wasnt as bad as i thought it was going to be i really have fun hanging out with the flutes cause all we pretty much do is goof aroud lol wat are the the other instrument groups like????? scratch

yeah! percussion practice sux... we do warm-up for about 1:30 hrs and then we split up into pit/snare/tenor/bass and practice the opener for the show......... (and sometimes dont get breaks) Very Happy

i enjoy it tho....

Marching band sux. I hate it. The only advantage is being around my students, and upper classman. Its just too time consumign tho. I mean did u guys kno that this week, we r going to have to go not only at 10-12am, but also 6-8pm, its just crazy. WAAAAAHHH!!!! my summers used to be gaming filled, now, they-re ruined. Not to mention, once we get to the actual marching band season, like fb games, im going to shoot myself, lol. O well, i guess we will have to find a way to work around our new restrictions at band camp too. Rebel!! Who's with me?!?!?!? Yay or Nay?!?!?!?!

When there's a how, there's a way.. and you think you got it bad? we have it in the morning and then 6:30-9 this week! and i have to go to soccer from 6-7 so i'm gonna be completely rushed..And travis wants me to practice during the day on my freetime? ya right.. it's a song not my life. And what do you mean our restrictions at band camp?

i think he means that boys and girls are not allowed to be in the same cabin at the same time so that pretty much means that we cant just hang out with out group of friends Mad

We can still hang out (just not in the same cabin! but there's plenty of hang out time out there), and i extremely doubt that's what he's talking about.. i don't think he'd care too much.. well maybe but who knows right? Nick knows! that's who.. ok now i'm just talking to pj

There r so many things that have changed from the years that made band camp have been ruined because of a certain girl who overeacted and told her mom who complained to the school board and the superindendent said if he found out about nething he considers "hazing" he will end band camp forever, Sad

! I guess our scary theme actually works, lol.
