The Last legion.. it's in Rome,but it's not like the 300 or any of those movies (with all the tons of nonsensical fighting and sex), and it's not like all enchanted and happy like Narnia, yet it's different from Lord of the Rings... Check out the trailer.. It looks pretty darn sweet..

THat is just gonna be brilliant!!! .................ofcourse, i have to find one thing wrong, adn that is that the wizard looks too much like a rip off of Gandalf, but hopefullly it wont seem so in the movie, i jsut could tell that much from the brief 4 seconds he is in the preview, lol.

Nick, the wizard is Merlin so he cant be a rip-off of Gandalf if hes been around longer! But they could base his movie character too much around gandalf.

And PJ the fighing in 300 isnt nonsensical!!!!! That was in Greece not Rome there is a big difference! Greece has spent centuries fighting amongst themselves, city-state vs. city-state. When the Persians came, all the Greeks banded together against a common enemy. The first line of defence was in Thermopylae. The greek fighting force there wasnt as big as the persians because the Greeks underestimated the Persians size. After like the first day of fighting, the Spartan King, Leonidas, realised it was a lost cause, so he sent all but 300 of his best ppl back to warn the others, and sacraficed himself. Those 300 spartans held off like literaly 2 million Persians for like 3 days, because they were fighting in a narrow pass. Pretty much all of the 300 movie is acurate, except for the mythical beasties the Persians had... but that battle and defence against persians led to unity in Greece, and ultimately the founding of democracy... so it wasnt "nonsesical" because they were defending their homes... gosh...

But anyways, that movie does looks sweet, and I've always been into arthurian legend, so this will be an interesting aspect of the legend, seeing the begining of Excalubur and learning mroe about Merlin...

Thanks for the off topicness brian.. but that's not the nonsense i'm talking about.. i'm talking about those kind of movies that barely have a plot and are based on fighting and sex.. no real good fulfilling story going on.. just a war and getting ready for it, being in it, worrying about it, having sex during it, and then ending it..

But i think this is a really cool movie because it actually upholds a great story and yet still has awesome brutal fighting scenes.. and humor.. and no sex! unless arthur gets it on with his mentors..Their hasn't been a movie like that since lotr really.. this movie has great potential... and why the heck does that kid look so familiar?!?!?/ what movie did i see him in!?!? it's driving me nuts!

have you seen 300? The general plot of it is the same as this, defending your home that youve known forever. 300 isnt all a big battle, its also Leonidas coming of age and undergoing the Spartan traditions to enter manhood

And lol idk did you see that one scene of that lady starting to come out of the water with a suggestive look on your face? Something tells me she didnt have clothes on

Ok, brian back to ur first topic, o yeah, my bad, lol, and i just meant a rip-off because if u look at his costume, its just like Gandalf the White's in the lotr movies.

Pj i tried looking up on imdb who the actor is who plays arthur, but infact, he isnt even in the list of cast, they have young arthur, but he doesnt have ne other movies, and this kid i kno, was either from the newer version of charlie and the chocolate factory or arthur and the invisibles. Not to mention, when looking at the cast, i realized the name of Rupert Friend. Keira Knightleys boyfriend!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!! lol, sry, i jsut couldnt help myself, lol.

Yeah, brian, i noticed the thing with the girl too, lol, but actually guys, arthur isnt hte main character in this movie, its Aurelias, idk who that is, but, whatever, merlin isnt even in the top ten tho either, so i wonder if teh movie is even going to go over very well, lol.

And brian, u have a convincing side to that its not all about a battle, but really, it is, its just hte battle, nothing else. Non stop action throughout and the love scenes were apparently really random. The movie was just about the war tho, nothing else, even the graphic novel was only about the battle, there wasnt supposed to be a story tho neway, it was just supposed to be a good action flick, although the sex was very unnecassiry(sp), or so i have heard (andrew). And if u guys r gonna keep on about the 300 thing, u might wont to make a whole new topic about it, lol.

Ya the teaser trailer isn't very revealing.. confusing at most.. who's the main character really!?!

And ya i saw her coming out of the water, but she has clothes on and is the mentor of arthur.. it looks like she's a god about to attack or something.. water jitsu!
