You were close brian, he didn't play too big of a role in season 4, but now at season 5 you start to see all the strings he's pulling!

My educated guess is that time uses the orchid's lower chamber to time-travel (like the time-traveling bunnies) and is sortof special, being like Desmond, you know? In a way he's pulling the strings, being there during Locke's birth and numerous other times, yet he never "aged", so he could time travel to numerous times within the timespan of only a couple days even!

That's the beauty of it--
It doesn't do anything.

so by now im pretty sure that we can be pretty sure that Richard doesnt time travel considering he didnt believe locke when he said he was from the future... of course he could have been hiding it but why would he?

i think he time travels! lol
maybe he just didnt time travel at that point when locke saw him or something.
and plus hiding it seems somewhat plausible because theres always something wierd and secretive going on lost...lol possibly something to do with jacob or he didnt want locke to get off the island at that point for some reason...who knows.

I'm with brian, especially after Juliet was all like "Richard has always been here."
Plus, it's lost lol, they've already used time travel now, so they have to have something new thats mysterious and complicated. Maybe Jacob and Richard are related! Lol, that's not meant to be serious, but if it ends up coming true, I'd be happy. Of all the lost people, right now I'm really intrigued by jacob and Richard the most.
