I don't know too much about this game except from what Jonathan and Nick have told me.. There's supposed to actually have real AI like human characterical (if that's even a word) so say you force throw a stormtrooper over the ledge.. it'll actually try grabbing the ledge and saving itself.. And i'm pretty sure that means that the enemy can learn what moves you keep using and build up a strategy to defeat you.. Now if all that's true (which i have no idea if it is or not) the game should be alot harder but a ton more realistic and fun... making you think instead of finding that doing this combo over and over again defeats this person real easy. Also another thing in the game (which i don't really like) is that they maxed out the powers of the force and like a force push can throw like 10-20 people away from you and it's all really fancy and overdone and more powerful than it should be.. Still cool though and one more good thing... It'll be for the PC! _________________ Lost in solipsism he then slowly pulls a lever which sets off a mechanism which does nothing whatsoever but the nothing that it does negates the everything we know because it's screaming "Just because!" because it's neither friend or foe and so we label it a menace or a grandiose work of art. From its finale to its genesis we slowly pull it all apart. That's the beauty of it-- It doesn't do anything.

Yeah, well, they actually did just release a new video of SW: TFU at E3 this year, and i do agree with you, they maxed out the force powers a bit too much, although still pretty sweet, it just is like an altered universe of Star Wars, granted, they make up for it because they have been already spending a couple years on using the new technology for it, Unreal Engine to be exact, to make the game the best Star Wars game of all time, I guess we will just have to wait until Fall '08 to decide for ourselves, lol.

This game is going to be fricken sweet, I am buying it for my PS2 the day it comes out, it will be awesome to take down packs of stormtroopers with your force, thats jacked up on mountain dew, and completely slaughter other things. The creators said that the theme of it was "Kicking Someones Ass With The Force", thats a direct quote.

Im Hoping the wii version will be better than past games have been for it so far, lol, and if they do well with the controls liek they did quiet badly with Spiderman and other action games. And yeah, blasting stormtroopers al over is gonna be sweet, lol.

yeah, Its not going to be on the PC at the initial launch date, or if it is they havent announced it... which really sucks considering PCs are statistically better than consoles, and even ones that arent better can be made better for less than the price of a console. Also, if they did release it for PC it would prolly use DirectX 10 which would be sweet, but the con to that is that it would prolly require a 256 mb of graphics RAM... and microsoft might even be gay enough to make it require vista like they did with Shadowrun and Two Worlds _________________ "All the world's a stage And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts." - William Shakespeare's "As You Like It"

Wait! U need vista to play Two Worlds?!?!?! NOOOOOOOO Son of a B)*^%h!!!!!! That makes me mad. Ne way, back to Force Unleashed, i seriously doubt they will make it for pc, adn if they do, bu then guarenteed it will prolly require vista, although mayeb if we r lucky, maybe not. Then again, we havent been very lucky so far have we? lol.

yeah idk what i was saying up there, but theres no way microsoft could make it require vista... the only way they did it with shadowrun and Halo 2 is that they like released those games... but by that point most ppl will be on vista yes, and if they arent they should be because GirectX 10 is here!!!! yay!!! _________________ "All the world's a stage And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts." - William Shakespeare's "As You Like It"

Okay, well, looking back on the years, we are terrible predictors, number 1, number 2, i played force unleashed on the Wii. The controls were beyond amazing. Just astounding, actually. You really feel like your doing the force, the only problem, is that it just looks horrible and the gameplay becomes too repetitive after a while. Still a good game though in my opinion.

| Yah, it sucks. Even though I havent played it, any replay value? _________________ Lost in solipsism he then slowly pulls a lever which sets off a mechanism which does nothing whatsoever but the nothing that it does negates the everything we know because it's screaming "Just because!" because it's neither friend or foe and so we label it a menace or a grandiose work of art. | Honestly? No. A frequent problem i have with video games is that the gameplay has to be overly fun for me to keep playing becuase other than that the storyline is the onlything carrying me, so if i was bored and wanted to throw a stormtrooper around for a couple of hours, than there is some replay value, but other than that, there is nothing to bring you back (well, i dont consider difficulty levels as anything to contribut to replay value), and until it gets really cheap, i'm not even going to consider spending more than 20 dollars of my own money on it. It was a good rent, though. |
