yeah that'll be interesting to see how this turns out... soem Halo fans might reject it thinking it isnt true to the FPS Halo they love... but others might have been waiting for something like this. It'll also be interesting to see RTS controls on a 360... I imagine they have RTS's on the 360 already but idk how well the controls would work... it seems like it would be a bit hard to use a bit hard to be moving a cursor around with an analog stick all the time but idk soem ppl are prolly really acurate with that _________________ "All the world's a stage And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts." - William Shakespeare's "As You Like It"

Ya, halo wars should be pretty sweet.. Microsoft is going all out with halo and all that because they know that's the game where no1 else rivals them.. It should probably also expand the universe of Halo alot more... And on 360's and consoles with rts you don't have cursors.. you just got over from battalion to battalion or building to building and i think when you tell them wehere to go you either have a cursor or you just go over the blocks on the terrain? with the cursor i mean.. idk nicholas used to have Red Alert for the playstation and i watched him play it a couple times.. it's alot different but probably has been improved alot more since then all.. _________________ Lost in solipsism he then slowly pulls a lever which sets off a mechanism which does nothing whatsoever but the nothing that it does negates the everything we know because it's screaming "Just because!" because it's neither friend or foe and so we label it a menace or a grandiose work of art. From its finale to its genesis we slowly pull it all apart. That's the beauty of it-- It doesn't do anything.

Yeah, well if they do come out with Halo Wars, im just hoping they dont make it exclusively for the 360, that would just be dumb, cause really, they would make much more money to make it for the pc because more pc gamers r interested in rts than console gamers. And yeah, i imagine it will prolly expand a whole new universe of Halo crap, lol.

Well, i dont mean exclusively for the pc, i mean for both 360 and pc on launch date, it would be a smarter move, atleast i think.

I doubt i will buy it tho, so its not that big of a deal to me. Im just not big on rts. Although, i do want Medeival II Total War, just cause with rts, i want to be able to control thousands of men, not just 4 units, lol.

i didn't read much of ur guys's relpies, but i read the opening, and i think it has some potential. The master cheif better be a hero though, not just a good unit. The only problem will probably be that there is only 3 possible teams: Human, Covenant, and the Plague guys. other games have made it with 3 teams (STARCRAFT!!!) but i dont know if they will be able to do it, unless they expand on the HALO universe a lot. It does have some potential, and hopefully it will get u guys into RTS games more...and u guys should all try Starcraft

I agree, i mean it does have potential, but i think sometimes it is a mistake to do things like this, because they r risking alot, it can ruin the series, or it can break new ground for it. O, and i told u i would play starcraft, IF U DOWNLOADED ME A FREE COPY, but im not willing to spend my own money on it no, lol.

| haha nick, i got a copy and the expansion (which i haven't installed yet of course).. but i think halo wars is a clever way to keep on making money off of the now famous series..Halo 3 is the end.. (or at least it better be).. so how could they ruin it? they can't really ruin the games already made.. and going off and hitting all the rts fans is a great way to keep going in that universe and not letting it die off so easily... i think it's smart.. and knowing microsoft and them going crazy cuz macs are gaming computers now.. they'll make it cool _________________ Lost in solipsism he then slowly pulls a lever which sets off a mechanism which does nothing whatsoever but the nothing that it does negates the everything we know because it's screaming "Just because!" because it's neither friend or foe and so we label it a menace or a grandiose work of art. | lol pj macs gaming computers? no defniately not. I dont get it... "Hey guys lets buy an overpriced mac so we can install bootcamp and install windows on it!!! yay!!!" Wtf that defeats the whole purpose nick first of all I very very highly doubt they will release it on the PC at initial launch. They want people to get into the series and hear all their friends talking about it and have them buy a 360 so they get more money. I also would think they would have a cursor on for the interface... its like the only way i can think of that makes sense... But if they do find a good way to do the user interface im sure the game will do good because all the 360 owners will buy it just because it has the name Halo on it, and it had the potential to be a good game if they expand on the universe a little... and i think that would be easy for them to do _________________ "All the world's a stage And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts." - William Shakespeare's "As You Like It" |
