I noticed when i defrag my computer that the ipod's "hard drive" or softdrive as i just made up in my head is also in the list...Can you defrag ipods or even flashdrives? would it corrupt anything or make it work faster? What about ext. harddrives?

Ok.... since my ipod went nuts cuz i plugged it in an apple at camp i went through all these help sites and i got it working but it still occasionally freezes for some reason... So i decided to go back and look up defragging the ipod...You can do it! surprise surprise...and actually it makes ur ipod faster and can save battery life because ur ipod spends less time and energy looking for the file and/or song! this also works for external harddrives, flashdrives, and other mp3 players...Just be careful and make sure the power supply is secure when it's defragging or you'll lose the files that are being defragged
