The Future of Computers (and other things related, tv's and such)

The evolutionary chain of computers is extraordinary compared to other things demonstrated in the universe.. because they fit such big things into small space and are easy to work with... and do things faster and more complex than most humans can do, they "evolve" at an amazing speed.. 50-60 years ago.. computers took whole rooms or buildings to do simple things.. and just that 50-60 years later we already have a way to connect all the computers.. show graphics, interactiveness.. nano technology.. Artificial Intelligence.. and it keeps getting smaller and easier and more user friendly and faster and better at a faster rate.. it's really cool really.. people just don't notice and say "hey look a computer..." but things like this website and even space shuttles and extraterrestrial landers with AI.. They're alot more amazing and cooler than some people give credit too... like if some1 developed time travel.. at first every1 would be omg! so complex.. so amazing!! but after x years of use.. although it continues to grow and evolve and all people kind of fit it into their normal life and forget about it..

Think about what technology would be like in 10, 25, or even 50 years... it's kindof amazing.. especially if it keeps developing at the rate it does.. or keeps accelerating like it does... Outstanding....

ALSo: we can even send information through the air (like radios or wi-fi)and use radiation to move around the fat and water molecules in food to heat up our food (microwave ovens!)... idk but that's pretty amazing and cool..

Discuss....

Direct quote from the mac mini topic:
"ya i know it's probably not faster than ur computer (even though it says it comes standard with 512 mb ram, but goes up to 2 gb ram) but i just said it cuz it's more dramatic! and ya the computer probably does have lots of bugs and what not.. but that's not the point.. it's the revolutionary standpoint that, desktop computers don't have to be so big and heavy anymore.. and that in 10-15 years most of our personal computers will be able to fit in our pocket..and yet just like 30 years b4 only computers were huge heavy things with monitors that go back further than how wide the screen is... i guess i should really change the subject of this thread to "the future of computers... lol"

That's the beauty of it--
It doesn't do anything.

and on top of that

http://i.gizmodo.com/5142623/samsung-memory-breakthrough-will-give-us-32gb-ram-sticks

Right now it would be pointless to get this stick, since you would only use like 10% of it possibly, but! stuff like this will open up the future of computers so much more! think about it, if we had 2 of those 32gb DDR3 sticks (64gb wtf?!) in our computer, with a graphics card with similar things, we could watch TV, surf the net, and play the worlds greatest games all on your giant TV! at the same time :O
